[IN] COMPLETE: Coded website
HTML, CSS, and Javascript | Leaflet and Maptiler integration | ChatGPT and Claude Code agents This site originally came from a frustration of visiting beautiful sites and seeing them covered in scaffolding, which I found to colour a once in a lifetime trip with memories of steel pillars and wooden planks. One closer review, scaffolding is evidence of maintaining a valuable artifact that has resonated with people for generations. Temporary maintenance is necessary for preservation. On April 19 2019, a fire broke out in the Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris, which destroyed its centuries old roof and 18th century spire. For years, it was closed to the public while it was tirelessly restored by 2000 skilled artisans, carpenters, stonemasons, painters, and architects. 340,000 donors from 150 countries supported the effort financially, allowing the 860 year old cathedral to be reopened to visitors in December 2024. Coded entirely within Visual Studio Code and hosted on GitHub, I learned the basics of engaging web layout and typography on web platforms. Using A.I. agents such as ChatGPT and Claude to refine errors in the code helped me familiarize myself with how A.I. agents can be used as part of the design process.
